Update on Darrin

Guys,

I wish I had better news to report. As most of you know by now, Darrin did not receive good news in Rochester at the Mayo clinic. Essentially, there was much more cancer than they anticipated and informed Darrin and Kim that it was too risky to try to perform the surgery. They are seeking a 3rd opinion here in Colorado.

Yesterday, Darrin's oldest daughter (20), Katie had a Colonoscapy performed and the results strongly indicated (90%) that it is Cancer. As you can imagine, this has rocked their worlds in a way that is hard to even fathom.

Regardless of what the Doctors say and regardless of what the prognosis is; we, as followers of Christ believe anything is possible through Him. Both Doug and I spoke to Darrin this morning and they are under an unbelievable amount of stress. He has not asked for anything except for prayer. With that being said, I think we need to be ready to do whatever is needed for the Clock family. Darrin will likely be joining us next week at JourneyMEN meeting and we need to be ready to encourage him and pray for him and his entire family.

He wanted me to make sure everyone is in the loop and aware of what is happening.

Is there anything specifically with which the Clock family needs help? Yard work, cooking meals, transportation, etc?

It's time for more prayer and fasting.

Christian,

Darrin said he wasn't asking for anything (besides prayer) at this time. With that being said; we should be in 'standby' mode...

Fellas,

The Clock's worst fears (for Katie) were realized this week with news that it is indeed cancer...stage 3 colon cancer. They (with the dr's) are trying to determine the best path of treatment at this point. As you can imagine, Darrin as a Daddy has shifted any focus from his own illness to Katies. Obviously they are overwhelmed with the reality and worry. Darrin wanted me to communicate this to everyone as he and the entire Clock family are in continued need of continued prayer.
I will do my best to keep you posted as to what they may need in the coming days, weeks and months.
